TheaterFriday, June 19, 2009

The Gabby Awards will take place in the historic Merle Reskin Theater, on Balbo Street, which is right off Michigan Avenue in Chicago’s historic South Loop neighborhood just off Grant Park. The 1920s era theater is a landmark component of the city’s illustrious performing arts history and has played host to important performers in its near-century existence. The current owner—DePaul University, proudly houses part of its Theater program at the historic venue and through major support by the Office of the President of DePaul, the first Gabby Awards will take place here.

The Gabby Awards will include music, comedy and celebrity award presenters. Winners who are present will be asked to accept their awards. Video tributes will also be incorporated into the program, as well as many other surprises for the 1000+ lucky guests who are present at the awards show.

Upon your departure from the theater, be sure to catch the winners on our Hollywood-style Red Carpet ceremony. Don't forget to bring your camera and snap photos of the winners and other celebrities and VIPS who plan to attend the Gabby Awards.

HiltonImmediately after the awards show, the Gabby Awards After party will be held directly next door, which will encompass all of the major ballrooms of the Chicago Hilton and Towers and promises to be an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, food, and celebration.
